Ricardo Mayor Luque is an architect, designer, and educator. He studied at the University of Architecture in Alcala de Henares – Madrid, Spain. He has developed an international scholarship at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and the University of Split, Croatia. He holds a Master in Advanced Architecture from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia – IAAC (2017). He has worked as a Project Architect at Ángel Verdasco Architects in Madrid, from 2007 to 2013, developing projects in both to architectural and urban scale. Afterwards, he has worked in the Engineering office in Paris T/E/S/S ‐ Atelier d'ingénierie and Marc MIMRAM Architecture & Ingenierie in carrying out large projects for important architects firms as Kengo Kuma, OMA and Frank Ghery on projects at an international scale with considerable results. Developing design and production of structure, façades, and building envelope. This work applies to edifices of all kinds, including civil engineering and more unusual projects such as art installations or experimental structures. All of the projects were involved in an in‐depth knowledge of materials – steel, aluminum, timber, glass, concretes, textiles and composites – and on an expert understanding of complex geometry.

Ricardo has been teaching and assisting several design studios at IAAC, as well as working on the design and academic projects. Currently, Ricardo is a part of Advanced Architecture Group at IAAC as Fabrication Assistant in the Fabrication Department and Manager Assistant at Iaac FabLab.
